Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's real title is Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta currently, she is from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician singing and playing at the church in town. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan and has since been remixed by numerous producers and is a staple in her live show. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was employed to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the director of the choral group for this theatrical production. Sunshine came to national interest during four consecutive shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
