Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. she is the current president and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in real estate who was the owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Their relationship ended in 1972 and she began to feel that she was emotionally neglected. She joined her family's business at the age of 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades, a professional roller-hockey team. She was the president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss along with her five sisters and brothers, as well as their father who was the owner of the Lakers and ruled them up to his death in 2013, took over the ownership via the trust. They each were entitled to equal voting rights. In 2013, Buss took charge for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
