Nancy Wilson was born 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Olden Wilson, a ironworker, as well as Lillian Ryan (a former housemaid). Nancy Wilson was the youngest child of six. In just a few months, she was offered a job singing in The Blue Morocco Night Club on Boston Road in The Bronx the place where her agent heard her and signed her. In 1960, he signed her to Capitol Records, and that same year she released her debut single. Guess Who? Capitol Records released 5 Nancy Wilson albums over a time span of 2 years. Under Adderley Wilson's leadership, Wilson started focusing on R&B but soon shifted to jazz and torch music.
