Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award winning jazz singer. She was born the 20th of February, 1937 in Chillicothe OH to Olden Wilson, who was employed at an ironworks and Lillian Ryan, a former domestic worker. Nancy is the eldest out of 6 siblings. Nancy loved listening to her dad's records and his passion for music. At just 4 years old, she knew that she was going to be a star in the singing world. She developed her talent due to her participation in the choir at church. In high school, she began to appear frequently in Skyline Melodies. She was fifteen when she won the television talent show. When she was 15, Nancy began her career in night clubs. Nancy was a high school graduate at the age of 17 and then attended Ohio's Central State College, now Central State University for a entire year. She then dropped out to pursue a career as professional musician. In 1956, she recorded her debut album in Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band. They performed together from 1956 through 1958. Nancy made her debut record with Dot Records while in the band. Cannonball adderley encouraged her to move for a trip to New York in order to improve her career. She went to The Big Town, New York in the year 1959. In just a few months, she was singing in The Blue Morocco Night Club situated on Boston Road near The Bronx. The representative of Adderley heard her sing and immediately agreed to sign her. In 1960, he enlisted her to Capitol Records, and that same year she released her first single. Guess who saw today. Capitol released five Nancy Wilson albums within two years. Adderley influenced her to move away from R&B in favor of music that was more jazz-based and torch songs. Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley formed a band in 1962. This allowed her to climb in the chart. The year 1963 was when she had her biggest hit through Tell Me the Truth. It was this performance that helped her land a gig at New York Coconut Grove in 1963. It was the most crowded in America's nightclub.

Maisie started her career acting in the short film Our First World in the year 2012. Ellie was her character in 2013's short film Americano and Rum. In 2015, she played the character of Korr Sella in the film Short Wars: Force Awakening. In the following year, she was a part of the Netflix original movie The Kissing Booth Season 2 and 3, as Chloe Winthrop.
